Since 1998, ArchaeoMAP has been employed in the evaluation of large and complex excavations. The foundations for this program module were developed in 1995/96 during a project (Geiselhoering-Sued) which was promoted by the Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (German research society). The program is a mapping interface which can be linked to the ArchaeoDATA database and uses database queries to map features, sectors, finds etc. from an excavation. The program is currently undergoing a comprehensive revision. |
