Photogrammetry has also proved to be an important additional method of documentation. It accelerates the recording process considerably, especially for excavation features with large amounts of stone architecture. During the excavation, we developed a photogrammetry technique using various software solutions. The resulting application operates under ArchaeoCAD. It can be used to rectify individual photographs using control points and to assemble a two dimensional, true-to-scale photographic plan. The resulting plan can be made immediately available for further computer processing.
| Kinding-Ilbling: Finds are first dried using methods which are approved and overseen by a restorer. They are then hardened and removed as a block. | ![]() |
